The Bližší Lhota Apartments are situated in a quiet location on the edge of the Šumava National Park, only about 150 metres from the ferry from Bližší Lhota to Horní Plana. Thanks to this location, they are an ideal starting point for all those who want to discover the beauty of Lipno and Sumava.

In the surroundings you will find countless cycle paths, hiking trails and cross-country skiing tracks that will take you through the beautiful Šumava landscape full of forests, lakes and viewpoints. Whether you are looking for an active holiday or a peaceful rest in the heart of nature, the local nature invites you to go mushroom picking, walking and cycling.

Plešné jezero

One of the most beautiful glacial lakes in Šumava, surrounded by dense forests and rock cliffs below the Plechý peak. The path to the lake is one of the most popular hiking trips in Šumava National Park. It is an ideal place for lovers of peace, nature and photography.

Plechý

The highest peak of the Czech part of Šumava (1 378 m above sea level), which offers a beautiful view of Lake Plešné jezero and Austria. The ascent leads along marked hiking trails and can be mastered even by more experienced hikers.

Schwarzenberg Canal

A technical monument, which once served to float timber from Šumava to Austria. Today it is one of the most interesting places in the region, ideal for hiking or cycling trips. In the summer there are wood sailing demonstrations.

Trojmezí

The place where the borders of the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany meet. It offers a beautiful walk through the Sumava countryside and a unique atmosphere.

Stožec

A picturesque village in the Šumava region known mainly for its wooden Stožecká Chapel and excellent facilities for hikers and cross-country skiers. The starting point for many trails towards the Schwarzenberg Canal or Plešné jezero.

Cross-country skiing area Schöneben

The extensive Schöneben cross-country skiing centre is located just over the Austrian border and is one of the best in the entire Sumava region. It offers more than 210 km of perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails that lead through a beautiful landscape full of forests, meadows and views of the Leipzig Dam. Trails of varying difficulty are suitable for beginners and experienced cross-country skiers alike. There is also an equipment rental, rest and refreshment facilities.

Hochficht ski area

A modern Austrian winter resort with more than 20 km of slopes, lifts, a children’s park and a snow park. Its location close to the border makes it ideal for guests of our apartments.

Ski resort Lipno

The family resort in Lipno nad Vltavou offers ideal conditions for beginners, snowboarders and children. In the area you will find rentals, ski schools, cross-country skiing trails and night skiing.

Frymburk

A pleasant recreational town on the banks of the Lipno River with a harbour, aquapark, wellness centre and winter and summer sports facilities. An ideal destination for an afternoon trip by boat or car.

Český Krumlov

The pearl of South Bohemia and a UNESCO monument, which will enchant every visitor with its castle, castle garden and romantic streets. A great place for a day trip.
